Pros

A good option if you want to transmit sounds to your audio system and don’t have cables / don’t want to use cables.

Affordable Price.

Compact device.

It has a built-in rechargeable battery with a micro USB connection (which is very common).

Cons

There are still disturbances and noises that bother me while listening to this device. When listening to music it is OK, but when you have to listen to a lecture (podcasts, etc.) this bothers you a bit.

You can get a Bluetooth dongle which offers a better quality for approx. the same price, so this is a much better alternative unless the device you are using does not support Bluetooth connection.

FAQ

What is the range of this FM transmitter?

This transmitter works well up to 10 meters, as long as there are no obstacles in between.

Some claim the distance is greater, others claim lesser – but once again, it depends on parameters such as obstacles, quality of the specific transmitter (as I mentioned this is a generic device), etc.

How much time it takes to charge this device?

It takes about 1.5-2 hours to fully charge the battery (keep in mind the device is manufactured by different manufacturers, so there might be variation in the battery’s quality).

How much time the battery lasts when fully charged?

The Built-in lithium battery can play approx. 2-4 hours when fully charged (keep in mind the device is manufactured by different manufacturers, so there might be variation in the battery’s quality).

Does the sound come out from the transmitter or the car’s speaker?

The transmitter connects to your smartphone/computer/tablet/media player.

It will broadcast audio via radio frequencies.

The sound comes out from the audio system when it’s set on a radio station that you’ll choose and is available to receive the signals from this device (the radio station and the radio frequency on this device are identical).
