The BMAI XRCA001 running shoes use a breathable mesh fabric and a rubber sole, and they look good while holding the foot securely in place - both while walking and running. The finishing touches are solid too: proper stitching and gluing, a sole that's attached correctly, and good laces. The only slightly cheap-feeling element is the plastic touch on some parts, but it's a minor issue.
Performance-wise, BMAI recommends these for runs of up to 10 kilometers, and testing that out with an actual run confirmed they perform well.
